Our Story

Why We Believe God has Called Us Here

We started as a small group serving in outreach ministry together. As we gathered, it started to seem that God was gathering us for something more: to be a new church in the heart of St. Charles.

We believe God has called us specifically to this city and that's symbolized even in our name. Les Petite Côtes -- the Little Hills -- was the original name of the settlement that became St. Charles. Little Hills Church is rooted in St. Charles: we are from St. Charles and we love St. Charles.

We want to be a blessing to our neighbors by being a church that is driven to serve our community with the love of Christ from the beginning. A church that is centered around a deep love of God's Word and a constant expectation that His Word speaks to our lives today. A church that is intentionally multigenerational and stretches across divides in style with elements from both ancient aspects of worship and recent praise songs.

We're excited to see how God is shaping this new church and would love to share that excitement with you. Won't you join us?

Frequently Asked Questions

Where Do you Meet?

Little Hills Church meets on Sunday evenings at 5:30 pm for worship. Our meeting place is located on Droste Road (near Lindenwood University). We also have a Monday night online-only message and online, video conferenced Bible studies throughout the week.

Why St. Charles?

We are from St. Charles. Our planting pastor was born in St. Charles, is an alumnus of Lindenwood University and has served in pastoral ministry in St. Charles County for almost a decade. This church plant is a labor of love we feel God has called us to do in the community we very much call home.

Another Church? Really? Why is it needed?

Paul talks about how God gives us different gifts to serve together in 1 Corinthians 12:14-26. Much as individuals are gifted in different ways, we believe churches are too. Our team is friends with many of the local pastors in St. Charles and our goal is not to "compete" with other Bible believing churches in the area, but to serve alongside them so more of our community can have hope in Jesus. In fact, we serve together with numerous other local churches in the collaborative ministry FaithTree which is also led by our planting pastor.

What Do You Believe?

We believe in the triune God found in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, that he is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Father sent his Son, Jesus, who is our hope and who saves us from our failings -- sins. We believe that his salvation is an entirely free gift given by him, not something we earn. We believe God's Word is completely true and is how we learn about this good news that God intends for us.

We believe a lot of other things, too, but this gets to the heart of why we want to be a church.

If you want to know more about what we believe, we have a summary of our beliefs available. We would encourage you to contact Pastor Tim with any questions -- he would be happy to talk with you!

How Can I Help?

We need help in all sorts of areas of ministry as we get off the ground. We would love to have you join us in this exciting endeavor God has placed before us. Please contact Pastor Tim to find out more! He would love to talk through opportunities to serve and get involved.
