A prayer request can sound like one more sentence in a hurried conversation, but it is often a burden someone can no longer carry alone. In Matthew 9:38, Jesus places His own burden before His disciples: a plentiful harvest, too few laborers, and a call to pray that may move those who have only watched into the work.
Whether you've been in-person at times he's taught, attended an online Bible study he helped facilitate, watched devotionals he's provided or read his deep musings on faith we've published, you know God has been using Jason to communicate the comfort and joy of the Gospel in a multitude of ways. Now we are hoping to see him be able to focus part R12; and eventually full-time R12; on his work presenting God's Word in accessible ways that benefit the Body of Christ around the world and you can help make that happen.
FaithTree at the Movies explores deep questions about faith through the discussion of notable films. Each of our events features a special guest theologian or theologians who chooses a film and helps us to explore that film's content in a Gospel oriented light. We begin each night with an opening interview of our presenter, followed by a screening of that evening's film, and an open Q&A time to discuss the topics raised by the film and presenter.
The films are open to the community and admission is free.
Peter challenges us tonight to look at how God is the God of History so that we can have confidence in how he has acted in history. Join Pastor Tim as we dig into 2 Peter 1:12-18.
What’s the mission of Jesus’s church? What’s His mission for each of us? That’s what we are considering on tonight’s Steadfast.
Join us as Pastor Tim begins a new series thinking about how God renews us, first by restoring how we understand Him.
As Paul exhorts the Corinthians at the end of his letter, we are called to be people who comfort each other. What does that mean?
Jesus saves us with His “power” and offers us to “partake of his divine nature.” What does this mean? How does it relate to us growing as Christians? Join Pastor Tim as we dig into 2 Peter 1:3-4.
The Bible calls us to pray on all occasions and to constantly pray for God’s people (Ephesians 6:18). This Spring, more than 600 people from all over responded to the call to gather and pray at our Spring Online Prayer Walk. It was an incredible, encouraging day that we know the Lord used in powerful ways and one we are eager to repeat. Let’s join together to pray in Jesus’s name once again at our second Online Prayer Walk today, August 20! We are excited to see what God will do through this time!
Pastor Tim continues our series “Follow Me” thinking about our calling to godliness, what that has to do with legalism and, maybe, even a little discussion of ballpark nachos. We’ll sort it all out by going to James 1:21-25.
